On the way an instrument is made.
My instruments are built with careful handwork, using the traditional tools the great luthiers of the past worked with too.
First, I choose the wood from which the violin, viola or cello is born. Resonance spruce for the top, flamed maple for the back — naturally seasoned for at least fifteen years. It comes from the forests of Romania, chosen for its density and resonance.
Then come the celebrated models — Stradivari, Guarneri, Amati, Montagnana, Gofriller. The result depends on the wood, the form, the size and the mastery with which they are made.
Working together with performing musicians, each instrument is tuned for the warmest, most harmonious sound — a voice with which it can tell its own story.

Choosing the wood
Resonance spruce and flamed maple from Romania's forests, naturally seasoned for at least fifteen years.
Building by hand
Shaping and assembly with the chisel, after Stradivari and Guarneri models — no series machines, no shortcuts.
The master's varnish
Thin layers, delicacy of hue, slow drying. The varnish gives the colour the instrument will carry across centuries.
Setting the sound
Soundpost, strings and bridge — adjusted together with the musician, until the voice becomes its warmest.
